چکیده
Abstract Background With the expansion of use neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) in locally advanced breast cancer (LABC), both dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) and 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (18F-FDG PET CT) are promising methods for assessment tumor response during chemotherapy. We aimed to evaluate diagnostic accuracy DCE-MRI &18 F-FDG PETCT regarding early chemotherapy (NAC) patients (LABC) pathologic complete (pCR) prediction. Results A total forty LABC who had NAC were included study. Before NAC, PET/CT used. Various morphological functional criteria compared linked with post-operative pathology both. The MRI sensitivity specificity assessing conjunction pathological data 100% ( p = 0.001) 12.5% 0.18) respectively. equivalent readings 94.1% 25% 0.18), respectively, although estimated was same measuring (72%). a higher overall than axillary lymph nodes (ALN) (64% 56%, respectively). Longest diameter lesion, ADC value, maximal enhancement baseline MRI, SUV max mean all significant predictors rCR. Conclusion During primary mass ALN, demonstrated better predicting pCR patients. Although equally accurate detecting more ALN NAC.

background: physical examination (pe) and breast mri are two of the current methods which have usually used in diagnosis of primary breast cancer. their accuracy in detection of: either complete response or presence of residual tumor, however, has not yet been established in patients who have been received neoadjuvant chemotherapy (nac). the purpose of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic ...

Background: The breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in Iran. Hence determination of the optimal treatment and the contributing factors are important. The main aim in current study was to determine the association between tumor infiltration of lymphocytes (TIL) and complete pathological response in breast cancer patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Methods and materials: In this...

Preoperative systemic therapy is the standard of care in locally advanced breast cancer. In this setting, the intent of preoperative systemic therapy is to expand surgical options and to improve survival. Locally advanced and inflammatory breast cancer have different biological features, but they share the use of preoperative (primary, neoadjuvant) systemic therapy as the initial treatment of c...
متن کاملEarly Prediction of Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Locally Advanced Breast Cancer Using Mri
Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is the favored treatment of choice among locally advanced breast cancer patients because it significantly increases the possibility of breast-conserving surgery. However, for non-responders, an early prediction of response to NAC is essential. The purpose of this study was to determine whether an early prediction of response to NAC is possible using MRI. Eleven br...
